Both the Meeting Place on Wednesdays and the Coffee Pot on Fridays offer a chance for the community to meet in the church for tea, coffee and homebaking. You are very welcome to come and join us. LUPC offers a wide variety of groups which meet together. As a church family, it is good to spend time together.
The Mens' Group has recently had a curry, visited a road development project, gone bowling at Fintry, taken part in political discussions at a local by-election, organised a fish supper and quiz night, and honed their technique at a football skills night.
The Ladies' Group prefers to go out for a good meal at a restaurant. We recently enjoyed a 'Body and Soul' evening, where we had soothing music, devotions and massage. All ages are welcome to these nights and we appreciate the chance to get to know each other.
The Guild meets Monday nights for talks, music, tea and chat! Find out more about the Guild here.
There are various groups which offer different activities for members. Tea Dances take place in the New Hall from 2pm to 4pm.
The Banner Club meet to produce the lovely banners which feature around our church buildings.
The Flower Club meets occasionally to demonstrate different flower-arranging skills and to encourage members to help to design the flowers on display around the church sanctuary. Ladies' badminton club plays in the New Hall on Wednesday evenings. The church choir leads the worship on a sunday morning service. Our football team plays in the churches' league.
LUPC also offers support to members of the congregation. Mind matters is an informal group which meets on the last Wednesday of the month, which promotes mental well-being.
The Alpha Course is a relaxed, non-threatening way to explore the meaning of life. It is fun, and definitely non-churchy.
